I used to buy Silkygirl products back when i was a teenager. I had their lip gloss, lip balm, mascara and face powder too. This is my experience using Silkygirl products. After applying the lip balm or lip gloss, my lips dries up and cracked. After some time, my lips would loose its moisture and turn dark. As for the mascara, my eye feels dry.
After changing to Maybelline and Majolica Majorca, things got better. I strongly recommend those 2 brands! Majolica is actually from the same company as Shiseido. I really like this brand especially their lip gloss because it smells sweet and it moisturize my lips all day long. Although the price is slightly higher than other brand in the supermarket, it is worth investing. Alternative for saving money would be Maybelline as it is affordable for all.
Here's a quick reminder on make up.
Step 1: Apply skin care product first on your freshly washed face. (very important!)
Step 2: Apply foundations using the flower petals technique followed by face powder
Step 3: Eye area first according to this order (eyeshadow > eyeliner > mascara)
Step 4: Put on lip care product followed by lipstick or alternatively lipgloss
These are the 4 basic steps in make up for beginners. It is important to remember applying skincare products before any make up! (I stressed it out because many might forget). Have fun with make up and do experiment on which products are suitable before purchasing! ;)

-Flower petals technique refers to applying foundation from the mid section of your face then the top, sides and bottom. This technique is easier than the dotting technique.
